Qatada to be released from prison

QatadaExtremist preacher Abu Qatada is to be released from Long Lartin top security jail later, the BBC understands.
A judge decided last week that his six-year detention could not continue after a ruling by the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR).
The cleric faces terror charges in Jordan and the United Kingdom government says he is a threat to national security.
The ECHR blocked his deportation on the grounds that Jordan might use evidence obtained by torture against him.
However, the UK and Jordan had previously reached agreement that he would not be tortured if he was deported.
Qatada will be freed under strict bail conditions, including a 22-hour curfew with permission to leave the property for a maximum of an hour twice a day. He will also be electronically tagged.
No mobile phone or internet use is permitted under his bail conditions.
